In-Kind Donations Are Just As Important!

In-kind is the best kind. Over the years, more and more companies have donated products and services to Holiday Helpers. We are so thankful for these donations as they reduce our spending costs and allow us to add more gifts to our family packages.

Shopping party with the Raptors!

We want to give a HUGE shout out to two amazing Toronto Raptors – Landry Fields and Steve Novak. Not only are they some of Toronto’s finest but they are two kind and generous guys! They wanted to do their part to help low-income families through the winter season.

How we select our families

At the beginning of every Holiday Helpers season, our committee meets to set a goal of how many families we hope to help. We always plan for growth year after year but try to keep the number reasonable given our staffing capacity and warehouse space.

A look back: We've come a long way!

Back in 1996, April and I never imagined Holiday Helpers to be what it has become today. I was in high school and April was in University. She wanted to do something to give back to a family in Brampton, our home town, and I went along with her. In the years that followed with both of us in University we did what we could but money and time was always limited. It wasn’t until we both graduated and we were a bit settled that that we put a name to it and Holiday Helpers Canada was born.
