Santa’s Warehouse Elf
We are looking for a Seasonal Holiday Coordinator who can assist with various activities at our main “Santa’s Workshop” located in Mississauga and 3 satellite locations in Hamilton, Toronto and Durham.
“Santa’s Workshop” is a pop up location open for the 3 weeks starting in late November and ending in the middle of December. Corporate groups and public volunteers come to assist with sorting, organizing, and packing up family packages. These locations are lively and require a high level or organization before they kick off. While the event is going on, jobs need to be assigned/re-assigned, supplies topped up, and spontaneous requests fulfilled. We’re looking for a friendly person who works well under pressure, is organized, loves Christmas and has experience working with people in an event situation. This position requires approximately 10-20 hours/week with evening and weekend work is required.
We are looking for a Temporary Part Time Seasonal Holiday Coordinator who can assist with various activities at our main “Santa’s Workshop” located in Mississauga and 3 satellite locations in Hamilton, Toronto and Durham.
Duties
- Setting up and closing the event each day
- Working with volunteers groups
- Tidying up and organizing work areas
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- 2 – 4 years of work experience
- Remains positive and friendly in a busy, time-sensitive environment
- Is able to take direction and feedback well
- Has a high level of professionalism
- Drivers license and access to a vehicle is required due to the nature of the job
- Demonstrated customer service and relationship skills
- Post-Secondary Education in Office/Business Administration considered an asset
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Strong communication skills, patient, respectful, and compassionate with our recipient families
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and attend to detail
- High work ethic and commitment, positive attitude
- Loves Christmas is an asset
Physical & Psychological Working Conditions/Requirements
Identify the working conditions and physical/psychological demands which relate to the essential functions of the position, such as working indoors/outdoors, working with exposures to hazards, etc.
- Job requires ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to manage family expectations and potentially deal with conflict
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: up to 3 weeks
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
