How the Sponsor-a-Family Program Works:
When you make a monetary donation:
- Your donation is used towards purchasing a tree, decorations, grocery gift card, or additional items to complete a family's Christmas experience
- Your donation is 100% tax deductible
- When you donate to Holiday Helpers, rest assured that your dollars are working hard to help families living in low-income situations in your community
- 92% of every dollar donated to Holiday Helpers Canada goes directly to help families in need
- There is no deadline for monetary donations and are accepted all year round
Every family recieves:
- A pre-lit artificial Christmas tree with all the trimmings, including decorations and a tree topper
- A minimum $100 grocery gift card to a local grocery store to buy a warm meal
- A customized Christmas package of presents from their individualized wish list. The items provided help provide poverty relief and include a winter coat and hat and mitts for each family member, household items for the caregiver and toys for the children
